people's blood leaving them in rivers
gouging at the landscape
forcing it to tare apart to
make room for the extra material
canyons and valleys form in the wake of these rivers
when shall they stop growing
when shall the source of the blood heal
will it ever end
the healing in which we all seek
shall never come
the blood continues to flow
bringing change upon the world
until we can see ourselves as we are
holding true to the idle thoughts
that scourer our minds
