welcome nightly moonshine
for we meet at last
shall you cast your gaze and
light the night with
all that you know
for you shall be
welcomed with your
brightly magnificent glow
light up the world
as you do for those
who forever wish to
walk in the midnight sun
when shall you
ever comprehend
the magnitude
of the situation
that lies before us
what shall it
take for you
to give the
respect to those
who deserve it
why need it
come down to this
another life taken
gone from what
we are known by
do you know now
the seriousness that
haunts our memories
the question is
why does it take
an emotionless man
shedding a tear
to bring the light
into your eyes
when the moon crys
does it shower us
with its tears
glistening in the light
of their creator
they shall fall
onto us
gracing us
with their
eerie presence
that encases
our own being
